Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Oregon seeks an experienced pipefitter to lay out, install, maintain, and repair piping for maintenance, tank projects and new construction. You will work under a Foreman and must demonstrate a high skill level in industrial maintenance and mechanical environments.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, setting up bending and cutting equipment, fabricating pipe, testing assemblies, and enforcing safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or NCCER certification.
• Complete Company’s Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems for maintenance, tank and new construction.
• Interprets drawings and sketches; plans procedures and selects materials per engineering standards.
• Set up and operate bending, threading and cutoff equipment; fabricate pipe.
• Assembles and tests piping components.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Report work performed.
