GEMCO Constructors, founded in July 2014 and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a national contractor providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, and service solutions across the United States. The company holds engineering and construction licenses in over 30 states.

Position Summary

The Pipefitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems on new and existing projects, assisting Foremen, and training apprentices.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping for hydronic systems, including steam, natural gas, chilled/hot water systems, and compressed air systems.

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Experience in new commercial construction
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of all building construction phases and ability to read blueprints
  • Compliance with safety policies and effective communication with team members
Physical Demands
  • Standing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, working from scaffolding/lifts, and driving long distances
