Position Overview: This role provides Pipefitter maintenance support within Indy Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, responsible for fabrication, installation, and maintenance of process piping systems in IAPI, including repair of pressure vessels and fabrication of support equipment for production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Detailing and fabrication of piping systems (threaded, welded, glued plastic, braised, compression fitted).
  2. Maintenance and repair of steam and condensate piping equipment (steam traps, strainers, regulating valves, vacuum breakers).
  3. Fabrication and repair using welding procedures (orbital, TIG, MIG, Electrode, Acetylene).
  4. Ensure safety by conducting activities safely, attending safety meetings, and completing safety training.
  5. Complete work in accordance with GMP procedures and document all maintenance activities accurately.
  6. Communicate critical equipment issues effectively, both orally and in reports.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance journeyman experience.
  • Post Offer Exam or Work Simulation completion.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical trades.
  • Experience in regulated industries, preferably FDA-regulated.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Strong customer service, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely, independently, and in a team environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Open shift availability (nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 on/3 off).
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods and adapt to schedule changes.
  • Compliance with gowning and SOP requirements across manufacturing areas.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided.
