Job summary

MasTec pipeline division is seeking a Pipefitter Helper IV in ABERNATHY, TX. This role assists journeymen in planning, layout, installation, testing and repair of pipe systems per plans and codes, contributing to safe and efficient project execution.

The position requires 3–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to work overtime. Travel up to 90% is expected; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k options.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED Certification (preferred)
• Experience working in one or more construction craft roles as a helper or laborer
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measure, speed square, framing square to perform tasks accurately
• Be able to perform tasks including threading, beveling, and cutting pipe
• Use hand and power tools to fit and install all types of pipe and piping systems
• Assist in installing valves, couplings and other fittings and remove damaged pipe as needed
• Produce quality work meeting plans, specs and industry standards
• Communicate with Foreman regarding materials, problems or hazards
