Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled helper to support journeymen in planning, lay‑out, installation, testing and repair of construction systems in heavy industrial settings.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work 50 hours per week on site with possible overtime and travel. Safety training and teamwork are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in one or more construction craft roles as helper or laborer with basic craft knowledge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measure, speed square, framing square to perform tasks accurately.
• Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates.
• Perform tasks including thread, bevel, and cut pipe.
• Use hand and power tools to fit and install pipe and fittings; know various joint types.
