Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking experienced Pipefitter Helpers to join our Industrial Refrigeration team. You will assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, and installing of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for ammonia, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing systems.

This role requires travel, year-round, to service customers in NC, SC, VA, TN. We offer competitive pay ($16-$27/hour), 401(k) with company match, PTO/holidays, comprehensive benefits, and career development

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of commercial/industrial plumbing or pipefitting experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of piping systems is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of basic construction/shop math (addition, subtraction, division, fractions)
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repairs of piping, piping systems, and industrial processing equipment
• Load and unload construction materials from trucks and into buildings
• Provide materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to experienced craft workers
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment
• Work safely and comply with health and safety rules and procedures

As a Pipefitter Helper, you will assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, and installing of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for ammonia, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing systems. A day in the life:

You should have:

• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with co-workers and other tradesmen.
