Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems for industrial production.

The role requires reading blueprints, precise pipe fabrication, and adherence to safety protocols at sites across the Southeast and central United States. Responsibilities include selecting materials, cutting and threading pipes, assembling joints, and installing hydraulic/pneumatic components.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass Pipe Fitter test.
• Able to read and follow blueprints and directions clearly.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot/cold/damp environments.
• Familiarity with safety and project rules.

Responsibilities

• Select type and size of pipe and related materials per specifications.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and minimize interference.
• Cut pipe with saws, pipe cutter, and other tools.
• Thread pipe using threading tools.
• Assemble and install pipes with appropriate joints and fittings.
• Secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and controls.
• Test systems by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
• Follow blueprints and safety guidelines in all tasks.
