Job summary

Preferred Utilities in Danbury, CT is seeking an Industrial Pipe Fitter/Fabricator for 2nd shift (12pm–8pm). You will read blueprints, fabricate and assemble piping systems from carbon and stainless steel, and collaborate with other trades to meet project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (vocational training preferred), proven pipe fitting or fabrication experience, and strong reading of drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in pipe fitting or fabrication is a plus.
• Proven experience as a pipe fitter or fabricator in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts.
• Fabricate and assemble piping systems using carbon and stainless steel components.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• 2nd shift: work from 12pm to 8pm.
