Job summary

Daedalus Industrial is seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Builder Technician to join our shop-floor team. You will build industrial control panels from bare enclosure to finished, tested assembly - working from engineering drawings and bills of materials to produce high-quality, code-compliant panels for our automation and controls customers.

You will own every phase of the build process and are expected to work with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial panel building or electrical assembly experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and wire processing equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC and UL 508A panel wiring standards.
• Ability to wire from 10 AWG to 22 AWG control wire.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across concurrent builds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and layouts.
• Lay out and mount enclosures, backplates, DIN rails, trays, and sub-panels.
• Install and wire PLCs, I/O modules, drives, HMIs, relays, contactors, and terminal blocks.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and label conductors per standards.
• Size, cut, strip, crimp, ferrule, and terminate conductors per spec.
• Install power distribution components including breakers, fuses, disconnects, bus bars.
• Perform control power wiring for 24VDC and 120VAC circuits.
• Identify and correct wiring errors; document redlines for engineering.
• Maintain a clean, organized build area and follow safety practices.
• Meet production schedules and communicate build issues or shortages.
