Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Cleaner Painter to prep and paint surfaces on complex commercial, bridge, and industrial projects. You will clean and coat a variety of materials according to standard procedures, using grinders, chippers, sanders, and cranes as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate maintenance instructions.
• Experience with prep and painting in commercial/industrial settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain painting equipment and PPE.
• Prepare surfaces and apply coatings per SSPC standards.
• Read work orders and follow supervisor instructions.
• Maintain clean work area and assist other duties as assigned.
