Job summary

nVent is seeking an in-person Industrial Painter in Houston to prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply finishes across a range of products. You will inspect outcomes for quality and maintain equipment, while following strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in industrial painting or a related field.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical knowledge for equipment setup and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Experience with auto body repair techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to operate a forklift for material handling tasks.
• Skill in assembling components after painting processes.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate work.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades.
• Apply paint using various methods such as brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for imperfections.
• Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.
