Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Industrial Painter/Surface Treatment Technician at their PSO- Kearny Mesa facility. The role involves performing surface treating and preservative coating for metal parts, following process specifications and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Willing to work any shift.
• Experience with Industrial Paint Booths.
• Ability to use Industrial Paint Sprayer Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical processing operations from specifications, standards and written or oral instructions.
• Perform material processing operations such as sand, bead or shot blasting, tumbling and/or non-atmospheric controlled fields from process specifications.
• Make visual check of parts following treatment to ensure surface treatment meets specification.
• Maintain records as required.
• Check own work in process for compliance to requirements and good shop practice.
• Add proper solution to tanks as required.
