Hawthorne Cat is hiring for a Metal Surface Painter role in California. You will clean, prep, and paint machine surfaces using brushes, sprays, and coatings, ensuring quality finishes on interiors and exteriors.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of brush and spray-painting experience or SSPC C-12 certification.
• Knowledge of surface preparation procedures and proper paint mixing.
• Ability to read and understand product data sheets.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and to work any shift.
• Good reading comprehension of safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares metal surfaces for painting.
• Paints parts and structural surfaces on interiors and exteriors.
• Mixes materials per product data sheet and performs touch-ups.
• Operates tools and equipment to clean, prep, and paint surfaces.
• Maintains inventory of paint and supplies.
• Adheres to safety regulations and records paint activity.
