Job summary

Powell in Southeast Houston is seeking a Painter/Sandblaster to prepare and finish steel surfaces, sandblast, and apply wet paint on equipment and platforms. You will use airless and conventional spray systems and operate a crane or forklift as needed.

The role requires standing long hours, following safety rules, and documenting paint usage. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm with overtime; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is grammar school; basic math skills required.
• Must have basic command of English written and verbal.
• Two years of wet painting and sandblasting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast and paint raw steel platforms and equipment.
• Operate overhead crane or forklift to move platforms.
• Conduct sandblasting and wet painting safely and on time.
• Assist with general labor and cleaning as directed by supervision.
• Maintain records of inspections and paint usage.
