Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing spray coating is preferred.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts required.
• Ability to pass a pulmonary fit test.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to operate spray-painting equipment safely.
• Ability to work well in a manufacturing environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel and other surfaces for coating by removing dirt, oil, grease, rust, and other contaminants.
• Prepare, measure, and blend paints, primers, and coatings per specifications.
• Set up and inspect spray equipment and adjust settings for proper coverage and pattern.
• Apply primer and finish coatings with even, consistent appearance.
• Inspect finished work for coverage and defects and address issues.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work with production team to meet quality and production goals.
