Job summary

Powell is seeking experienced personnel for sandblasting and painting of raw steel platforms and equipment. The role involves crane and forklift handling, performing wet painting tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in surface preparation, epoxy primer, and polyurethane paints, plus familiarity with spray systems and blasting equipment. A strong emphasis on safety and documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience of wet painting, sandblasting and surface preparation techniques.
• Proficient with use of airless and conventional paint spraying systems with minimal defects.
• Knowledge of wet painting and proper paint mixing technique (ex: two part epoxy primer and polyurethane paint).
• Proficient with use of steel grit blasting equipment and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast and paint raw steel platforms and various products and equipment.
• Move platforms and products using a overhead crane or forklift.
• Perform Sandblasting and Wet Painting tasks safely and timely.
• Occasionally perform general labor and cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor or leadperson.
• Document inspections and paint usage in proper records.
