Job summary

Powell is hiring a Painter/Sandblaster to sandblast and paint raw steel platforms and various equipment. The role requires operating an overhead crane or forklift and performing tasks safely and efficiently.

It may include general labor and routine equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of wet painting and sandblasting experience, knowledge of epoxy primer and polyurethane paint, and the ability to follow ISO requirements, with flexibility for extended shifts and weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in wet painting and sandblasting.
• Knowledge of proper paint mixing techniques (epoxy primer and polyurethane).
• Ability to operate airless and conventional spray equipment with minimal defects.
• Familiarity with surface prep and industrial painting standards.
• Must be able to work up to 12 hour shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast and paint raw steel platforms and products.
• Move platforms using overhead crane or forklift.
• Perform sandblasting and wet painting tasks in a safe, timely manner.
• Assist with general labor and cleaning as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Document inspections and paint usage in proper records.
