Powell in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced painter to apply wet paint to raw steel platforms and equipment. The role involves moving heavy items with an overhead crane or forklift and performing routine maintenance and cleaning as directed by supervision.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of wet painting, sandblasting and surface prep experience, know how to mix epoxy primer and polyurethane paints, and be able to read basic measurements and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years wet painting, sandblasting and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Proficient with airless and conventional paint spraying systems.
• Knowledge of wet painting and proper paint mixing techniques (epoxy primer, polyurethane).

Responsabilités

• Paint raw steel platforms and products/equipment.
• Move platforms using overhead crane or forklift.
• Perform wet painting tasks safely and timely.
• Assist with general labor and cleaning as directed by supervisor or leadsperson.
• Maintain routine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
• Document inspections and paint usage in proper records.
