Job summary

Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking a full-time paint technician to prepare products for coating and apply finishes on a high-volume production line. The role requires 2 years of painting experience in a manufacturing setting and HVLP spray experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of painting experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• HVLP industrial spray application experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean assembled products for coating application.
• Apply masking tape or jigs to protect surfaces before wash.
• Maintain unit traceability and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Operate sprayer to apply paint according to company specifications.
• Mix standard paint colors and thinners to obtain proper viscosity.
• Maintain spray paint equipment and replace nozzles or gun components as needed.
• Flush and clean paint system circulation and filtering lines and components.
• Replenish painting supplies as necessary.
