Job summary

Wastequip WRX in Galt, CA is seeking an Industrial Painter for a full-time role at an hourly rate of $23.74. The candidate will operate airless paint finishing equipment to spray protective coatings on machines and manufactured products in a fast-paced production environment.

The position includes comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture. The ideal candidate will have experience with airless spraying, masking and surface prep, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and applying coatings

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from product.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas not to be coated.
• Grinds and sands containers as needed.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
