Job summary

Red Dot Buildings is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to apply protective coatings to structural steel beams and components in a hands-on production role. You will prepare surfaces, operate an airless spray rig, and inspect coating thickness to meet quality specs.

You will guide a Painter Helper and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals while maintaining equipment and strict labeling procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of industrial painting experience; five years preferred.
• Experience painting structural steel and fabricated metal.
• Proficient with airless spray equipment and techniques.
• Ability to perform wet-mil thickness tests.
• Willingness to wear respiratory protection and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel surfaces for painting by thoroughly cleaning each surface.
• Apply coatings with an airless spray rig to produce an even, professional finish.
• Perform wet-mil thickness tests to verify coatings meet specifications.
• Provide direction and oversight to the Painter Helper.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and track usage.
