Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a reliable Painter to prepare and finish metal parts. Under general supervision, you will apply primers and paints according to AMSI and customer specifications, inspect finishes, and help maintain clean, organized work areas.

You should read basic drawings, work safely, and assist higher level painters. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly or troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading basic drawings and schematics preferred.
• Military, trade school or community college coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic metal preparation for specified paint applications.
• Under direct supervision, applies primer to parts and paints in accordance with AMSI specifications.
• Inspects incoming parts for flaws or finish and notifies supervisor of exceptions.
• Assists in organizing and cleaning storage areas to maintain efficient operation.
• Reads and understands basic drawings and schematics.
• Assists higher level Painters in preparation and painting process.
• Provides input on quality, cost, and production issues.
• Assists in detection of defective material and unusual conditions and reports to supervisor.
• Demonstrates safe crane operation and rigging fundamentals under direct supervision.
