Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited technical school; may be substituted with previous painting experience.
• Must pass health requirements for respirator use to remain in the paint area.

Responsibilities

• Apply coating to protect products and improve aesthetics.
• Cleanse products to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
• Apply protective coverings to areas that could be damaged by processes.
• Operate spray guns to coat metal, wood, ceramic, etc.
• Adjust spray gun nozzles for proper dispersion and monitor viscosity.
• Read blueprints and paint codes; mix paints accordingly.
• Set up, operate, and maintain automatic powder booths and line equipment.
• Mentor Painter Helpers and Trainees.
