Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited technical school; may be substituted with previous painting experience.
• Experience painting or related field is acceptable.
• Must follow health, safety, and environmental rules.

Responsibilities

• Apply coatings to protect surfaces and improve aesthetics.
• Cleanse products to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
• Mask and protect areas to avoid damage or staining.
• Dip metal parts in chemical baths to prepare surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces by scraping, caulking, putty, and sanding.
• Operate brush, roller, and spray guns to apply paint or coating.
• Adjust spray gun nozzles for proper dispersion and flow.
• Read blueprints and paint codes to meet specifications.
• Mentor Painter Helpers and Trainees to ensure quality.
