Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with industrial painting and forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of paints, thinners and solvents.

Responsibilities

• requisition or order paints and solvents and adjust viscosity as needed.
• Inspect surfaces for dirt, moisture, rust or scratches and repair minor imperfections.
• Tape or mask equipment to prevent overspray.
• Move and position work in spray booth and operate spray equipment.
• Apply primer coatings and finish coats to achieve uniform color and texture.
• Maintain painting equipment and replace parts as necessary.
• Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.
• Keep spray booth area clean and safe.
• Record daily attendance and production information.
