Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio. The role focuses on preparing metal surfaces and applying paint and protective coatings to large equipment, panels, and enclosure components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of industrial painting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and priming.
• Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and free of dirt, oil, rust, and contaminants before painting.
• Apply paint and protective coatings to large equipment, panels, and enclosure components.
• Operate spray guns, pressure pots, compressed air systems, and other painting equipment.
• Apply paint evenly while preventing runs, streaks, drips, overspray, and other defects.
• Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Mix and handle paints, solvents, primers, and other coating materials according to procedures.
• Clean and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, hoses, paint equipment, and work areas.
• Store, handle, and dispose of paint products and solvents per regulations.
• Follow safety procedures when working with paints, solvents, and chemicals.
• Wear all required PPE and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Follow production and quality requirements and communicate any concerns.
