Job summary

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Painter to perform all paint related tasks to customer specifications in a full-time role. You will operate the paint booth, inspect parts, and ensure accurate data entry while maintaining equipment and workspace safety.

This position reports to the Finish Utility Team Leader and requires attention to detail and adherence to drawings. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to wear

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years experience preferred, but not required.
• Some mechanical aptitude required.
• Certification required – Medical certification to wear respirator.
• Visual acuity required for reading gauges and measuring instruments.
• Hearing ability required to monitor machine sounds and communicate.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment checks on paint booth daily.
• Record paint usages daily.
• Perform paint related tasks on steel and aluminum components.
• Maintain paint equipment.
• Accurate data entry.
• Perform inspection verification.
• Keep paint booth clean and organized.
• Review customer drawings for paint requirements.
