Job summary

Flex Craft, LLC. in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for the 1st shift to prepare, paint, and finish metal parts to customer specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial spray equipment, powder coating, surface prep, and will produce consistent, high-quality finishes while following safety and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industrial painting experience.
• Experience applying powder paint or similar industrial coatings.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, spray techniques, curing requirements.
• Ability to read work instructions, specifications, and basic manufacturing drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Willingness to wear PPE including a respirator.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and removing rust or debris.
• Apply powder paints according to manufacturer and job specifications.
• Operate spray-painting equipment (conventional, HVLP, airless, electrostatic).
• Adjust spray equipment to achieve proper coverage and finish.
• Read and follow work orders, drawings, paint specifications, and safety data sheets.
• Inspect finished work for runs, sags, overspray, misseds, contamination, and defects.
• Track paint, materials, and completed work accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
