Derrick Corporation is seeking an Industrial Painter to perform surface preparation and apply primer, paint, and urethane coatings using spray equipment. The role ensures products meet specifications and adheres to standardized work instructions with strong quality controls.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in a fast-paced environment, and may involve forklift/crane operation. We offer day and night shifts with a 15% night differential and a full-time, non-exempt schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior paint experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position which includes frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, climbing, standing, pushing/pulling, and walking.
• Positive attitude.
• Teamwork skills.
• Driver’s license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting preparation tasks including masking, caulking, and wash booth operations
• Spray primer, paint, and urethane onto end products
• Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
• Operate a forklift and crane periodically throughout the shift, as needed
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and deadlines
• Monitor processes to identify and resolve any issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
• Follow standardized work instructions and procedures to complete tasks
