Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking an industrial painter for our Gilbert, AZ facility. The role involves tending and operating coating equipment, applying protective or decorative coatings, preparing stencils, and reading blueprints to ensure accurate finishes.

You will paint using spray, brush or roller, mix paints, and perform routine maintenance. Safety policies must be followed; overtime may be required. WHMIS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as industrial painter in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Experience painting sheet metal.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must have WHMIS certification.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must distinguish colours.

Responsibilities

• Tend and operate equipment used to spray or coat products and apply protective or decorative coats.
• Prepare and apply stencils, decals, and other decorative items on the finished product.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Inspect surfaces for contamination prior to application of paint.
• Apply high performance protective coatings to metal surfaces, fabricated parts, assemblies, and structures.
• Knowledge of chemical application techniques.
• Paint using spray, brush, and roller as required.
• Select and mix the appropriate paint.
• Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance when necessary.
• Follow safety program standards and regulations.
