Job summary

Johnson Controls Silent-Aire division in Gilbert, AZ seeks an Industrial Painter I for 1st shift (5:00 am–1:30 pm). You will prep surfaces, mix paints, and apply coatings to sheet metal, following SOPs and safety rules.

The role requires lifting 25+ lbs, independent work, and clear communication within a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include spray-painting, body work, stencil application, equipment cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years as an industrial painter in manufacturing.
• Experience painting sheet metal and using spray equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used to spray products.
• Body work and remediation of sheet metal before/after paint.
• Prepare and apply stencils and decals on finished products.
• Inspect surfaces for contamination prior to painting.
• Follow SOPs and chemical application techniques.
• Paint using spray and pressure pots per SOPs.
• Mix and select appropriate paint.
• Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Adhere to health, safety policies and PPE.
