Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. is seeking a Painter/Finisher to work from blueprints and shop orders, operating cranes at times, blasting equipment, and applying coatings with spray systems. The role requires surface prep, thickness measurement, and quality inspections to meet specified standards.

You will maintain the spray booth, ensure safe equipment operation, and support multiple areas as needed. On-site duties include rigorous safety practices and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and willingness to complete on-site training.
• Experience reading blueprints and procedures to guide finishing work.
• Ability to operate cranes, blasting equipment and spray systems safely.
• Commitment to quality, safety rules, and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead and jib cranes to position weldments up to large sizes safely.
• Prepare surfaces with sanding tools and measure dry film thickness per charts.
• Inspect weldments for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain the spray booth and clean up work area daily.
• Use abrasive blasting media and mask areas to protect from abrading action.
• Apply coatings with airless and conventional spray systems.
• Operate wheelabrator and forklift to load/unload parts.
• Adhere to EEO policies and maintain equipment TPM and data logs.
