Job summary

Trade Management in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to prepare and coat structural steel, piping, equipment, and assemblies in an industrial setting.

You will sand, grind, clean surfaces, apply primers, mix coatings, operate spray systems, and inspect work to ensure coatings meet specifications. Lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or elevated platforms. NACE/SSPC experience and forklift or overhead crane experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting experience required.
• Experience with epoxy, urethane, and other industrial coatings.
• Familiarity with spray equipment and paint booth operations.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and coating specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders or elevated platforms.
• NACE/SSPC experience and forklift or overhead crane experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by sanding, grinding, cleaning, and blasting.
• Apply primers and finish coatings using spray systems, rollers, and brushes.
• Mix coatings and maintain proper coating thickness to specifications.
• Operate airless and conventional spray equipment.
• Inspect completed work for quality and correct coating defects.
