Job summary

Trillium Construction in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking Industrial Painters for long-term work in an industrial setting. Pay is $24-$26 per hour, with a Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and Friday 6:00 AM–11:00 AM.

Duties include surface preparation, coating application, equipment operation, and inspection to meet project specs. Candidates must have at least 6 months of industrial painting experience and be able to read work orders and drawings, work with hand tools and overhead cranes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation using solvents, sandblasting, pressure washing or grinding.
• Apply primers, paints, epoxies, urethanes, and coatings with spray guns, rollers and brushes.
• Set up and maintain spray painting equipment; use ladders and scaffolding as needed.
• Inspect surfaces and measure coating thickness to ensure project specs.

Trillium Construction is now hiring Industrial Painters in the Tuscaloosa, AL area!

Work will take place in an industrial setting.
Pay is $24-$26 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule is Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and Fridays 6am-11am.
Work is long term.

Duties

• -Surface Preparation-
  • —Clean surfaces using solvents, detergents, sandblasting, pressure washing or grinding equipment.
  • —Remove rust, old paint, grease, dirt and other contaminants.
  • —Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with appropriate materials.
  • —Mask and cover areas that should not be painted.
• -Coating Application-
  • —Apply primers, paints, epoxies, urethanes, and specialty coatings.
  • —Operate spray guns, rollers, brushes, and other painting equipment.
  • —Mix paints and coatings.
  • —Apply coatings to the proper thickness and ensure consistent coverage.
• -Equipment Operation-
  • —Set up and maintain spray painting equipment.
  • —Use air compressors, sandblasters, pressure washers, and lifting equipment.
  • —Work with ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, or elevated platforms.
• -Inspection and Quality Control-
  • —Inspect surfaces before and after painting.
  • —Measure coating thickness using specialized gauges.
  • —Verify that coatings meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • —Correct defects such as runs, bubbles, or uneven finishes.

Qualifications

• -6+months industrial painting experience.
• -Must be able to work with hand tools.
• -Must be able to work with overhead cranes.
• -Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
• -Able to work independently or as a team player.
• -Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.
