Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking a Painter to join our production team in West Salem, IL. The role involves shot blasting and painting equipment and parts, with attention to finish quality and fixture setup.

Expect 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays; starting pay $20/hr, rising to $22/hr after full training. SAP is used for inventory and location checks, and candidates with mechanical aptitude excel in this hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Experience/training in automotive, industrial, aircraft spray painting or auto body work preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills; ability to use wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
• Able to use computers, read and follow written instructions from print or computers.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the other members of a team to shot blast and paint equipment and parts.
• Set up and adjust equipment using a variety of tools (i.e.-wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Hang equipment and parts onto an overhead chain conveyor with hoist and/or manually.
• Conduct a finish quality check. Sand and touch-up as needed.
• Use computer (SAP) to check the location, routing of parts, and record inventory transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
