Job summary

New Kent Coatings is seeking industrial painters and blasters to work on-site at various locations across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will perform abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and apply industrial coatings, while traveling to job sites as required.

The ideal candidate has experience in coatings or is eager to learn, with reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or in a crew; pre-employment drug test may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or coatings application.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites across the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting and surface preparation.
• Application of industrial coatings (epoxy, urethane, etc.).
• Operate blasting/painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking industrial painters and blasters to work on-site at various job locations across the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial coatings and surface preparation or is eager to learn and grow in this field.

Key Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting and surface preparation
• Application of industrial coatings (epoxy, urethane, etc.)
• Operate blasting/painting equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
• Travel to job sites as required (per diem is provided for travel, but not all jobs are travel)

Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or coatings application
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Willingness to travel for projects
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, working at heights)

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with spray equipment and coating systems
• Knowledge of SSPC/NACE standards (a plus)
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a strong work ethic

Hourly Pay: $28 - $35

Schedule: Full-Time, M-F (overtime may be available)
