Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks a Painter Blaster to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting and to apply coatings to equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other areas using spray guns, brushes and rollers.

Must have 3–5 years journeyman level experience and a TWIC Card, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. The employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer and may require reaching heights and using scaffolding.

• 3–5 years journeyman level experience.
• TWIC Card required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order and receives instructions verbally.
• Prepares surface to remove dirt, oil, grease, and old paint.
• Works at heights with no fear.
• Fills cavities and dents to smooth surfaces.
• Selects and mixes coatings to specifications.
• Erects scaffolding or uses ladders as needed.
• Applies paint with spray gun, brush, or roller.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
