Job summary

Industrial Metal Fabrication Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster for on-site work on steel structures, pipelines, tanks, and other surfaces. Responsibilities include surface prep, coating application, and equipment maintenance to ensure durable finishes.

The role requires knowledge of grinding, blasting, and spraying techniques, safety compliance, and the ability to work at heights. Candidates should be able to read paint specs and work with varied coatings in a production

Qualifications

Must have experience in industrial painting and surface preparation.
Familiarity with SSPC/NACE standards is preferred.
Able to operate spray equipment and perform quality checks.
Must be able to read and interpret paint specs and MSDS sheets.
Experience with blasting and coating applications is required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret paint specifications and MSDS sheets.
Prepare surfaces using solvent cleaning, hand tools, power tools, and abrasive blasting.
Apply coatings using brush, roller, airless spray, or conventional spray methods.
Operate and maintain spray and blasting equipment; ensure safety protocols.
Stage and manage parts for downstream processes and inspection.
Coordinate with shipping for large item movement and cure times.
