Job summary

Onboarding Resource, LLC in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our manufacturing team. You will handle surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and applying protective coatings to piping, structures, and equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on blasting and coating experience, including two-part coatings, epoxies, urethanes, and zincs, with a strong eye for safety and quality and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial painting, blasting, coating principles and techniques.
• Experience with scaffolding, rigging, containment systems and safety equipment.
• Ability to interpret coating specifications and application data.
• Experience with two-part coatings and curing requirements.
• Strong attention to safety, quality and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation and protective coating applications on piping, structures and equipment.
• Operate and maintain blasting, spray-painting and other coating equipment.
• Apply primers, paints and coatings with HVLP, airless, conventional spray, brush or roller.
• Monitor cure times and use correct spray pressures and equipment settings.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality, perform touch-ups and recoats as needed.
