Job summary

CB&I is seeking a Painter/Blaster to prepare, coat, and finish tank walls, equipment, and structures. You will mix coatings, select appropriate primers, and perform sandblasting as needed to ensure long-lasting finishes.

The role requires adherence to safety rules, operation of spray guns and power tools, and the ability to work at heights with fall protection. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Paint Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience painting and blasting tank walls, equipment and structures.
• Ability to select and mix coatings and primers for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with safety rules and confined-space procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cover surfaces to protect during painting.
• Mix coating additives to thin paint and promote drying.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty.
• Sandblast and remove rust and old paint as needed.
• Apply primers, sealers, and finishes to surfaces.
• Read work orders and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Move and set up scaffolding or ladders for elevated work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
