Plant Power & Control Systems in Calera, Alabama, is seeking an Industrial Powder Coat Painter to prepare surfaces and apply powder coatings to metal parts and electrical enclosures, following quality and safety standards. • Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred.
• Familiarity with spray equipment, curing ovens, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Team player with good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean metal surfaces for coating, including sanding, masking, and applying pre-treatment.
• Apply powder coating materials to a variety of fabricated parts using spray equipment.
• Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, ovens, and spray guns.
• Ensure proper curing of coated parts by monitoring oven temperatures and bake times.
• Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and adherence to company standards.
• Touch up, rework, or recoat parts when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with material handling, hanging, and packaging of finished products.
• Collaborate with production team to meet daily schedules and deadlines.
