Job summary

Link-Belt Cranes, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Finisher A on 2nd shift to apply paint to crane parts and manage final paint processes.

The role requires mixing paints per formula, preparing surfaces (including shot blast), masking for touch-up, inspecting coating quality, and operating material handling equipment while adhering to safety, 5S, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or better.
• Minimum of one (1) year of paint experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment, jibs and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Mix paints to proper color, thickness and consistency following a formula.
• Prep and mask surfaces for touch-up and final paint application (may include shotblast).
• Visually inspect the quality of the coating.
• Operate material handling equipment to transport product and prevent damage.
• Follow safety, security and environmental procedures and maintain a clean work area according to 5S.
• Perform other job tasks as assigned.

Currently we have a Finisher A role open on 2 nd shift. As a Finisher A, one will apply paint to surfaces of parts and final paint processes of cranes.

Essential functions of the position include

• Following a formula, mix paints to proper color, thickness and consistency.
• Prep (may include shotblast) and mask surface area for touch-up and/or final paint application
• Visually inspect the quality of the coating.
• Operates material handling equipment to transport product and avoid damage.
• Safety, Security and Environmental:
  • Use equipment and materials properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area per "5 S" principles
  • Observe safety, security and environmental procedures.
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions/situations
• Follow all procedures related to the storage and consumption of Point-of-Use material.
• Perform other job/tasks as assigned.

General qualifications for this role

• High School Diploma/GED. Technical/Vocational education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) years of paint experience in a manufacturing environment
