Clariant is seeking an Industrial Room Operator for the Additives & Adsorbents unit on the second shift. The role involves operating packaging equipment, following process instructions, and ensuring products meet quality specifications.

Responsibilities include routine machine adjustments, accurate documentation, housekeeping, and compliance with safety procedures. The position starts through a third-party employer for three months with potential transition to direct employment with Clariant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/-packaging setting.
• Must be able to fluently read and write in English.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and quantities.

Responsibilities

• Read and review process orders for specific instructions and specifications.
• Document all required in-process forms clearly and legibly.
• Operate bag and packet sealing machines to quality standards.
• Lift up to 35 lbs and handle materials safely.
• Visually inspect material before packaging and ensure compliance with specs.
• Read and use measuring tools like a ruler.
• Monitor bag/packet quality according to frequency requirements.
• Alert technicians of defective material and document issues.
