Job summary

ICON Technology Group is seeking a network engineer to own and harden the site network for Titan robotic construction printer operations in Austin, TX. You will design reliable OT/IT networking, implement segmentation, and ensure low-latency control for test hardware.

You will work with robotics, controls, and embedded software engineers to specify latency, bandwidth, and failover requirements, and build a playbook for scalable site networking as testing expands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network engineering in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Design and operate OT/IT networks with reliable segmentation and safety.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics traffic, and test environments.
• Strong documentation and playbook development.

Responsibilities

• Own the site network: switches, routers, cabling, and uplink for mixed OT/IT.
• Design and maintain segmentation between OT/robotics traffic and general IT traffic.
• Build and maintain remote-access infrastructure for distributed engineering teams.
• Stand up proactive monitoring and alerting to catch issues before tests fail.
• Collaborate with robotics, controls, and embedded software teams to meet network needs.
• Document topology, failure modes, and recovery procedures; build a scalable playbook.
• Serve as the go-to owner for network architecture decisions as the system grows.
