Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. seeks an Operational Technology Engineer to advance digitization and automation on the shop floor across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing, or related field.
• 2+ years in OT systems, automation, or manufacturing tech.
• Hands-on with C#/.NET and Python; PLC interfaces and sensors knowledge.
• Familiar with MES integration, IIoT, APIs, and OT-to-enterprise connectivity.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration; focus on traceability and safety.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support shop floor digitalization and automation via OT software, machine connectivity, and data capture solutions.
• Integrate machines, sensors, actuators, and production systems with MES and enterprise platforms.
• Develop IIoT, monitoring, and data acquisition solutions to improve equipment performance.
• Enable traceability and quality through production data integration.
• Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance for equipment availability.
• Ensure OT systems are safe, reliable, and maintainable across manufacturing operations.
