Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years related experience in an industrial environment.
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Ability to multitask, perform under stressful conditions, and respond and adapt in changing conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and procedures.
• Basic use of computers including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including conveyor belts, pumps, air blowers, compressors, scrubbers, dust collectors, briquetters, stackers, reclaimers, rail loadout, reagent systems, clarifiers, thickeners, pipelines, water treatment plant, overhead crane, and various mobile equipment.
• Recognize upset conditions, determine cause and take corrective action.
• Troubleshoot and relay details to control room and supervision.
• Collect process and cargo samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform safe isolation of operating equipment for maintenance.
• Assist maintenance personnel where required.
• Provide timely turnover information to oncoming crew members.
