Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Network Infrastructure Technician to install, maintain, and support our physical network infrastructure across a large manufacturing campus. The role emphasizes cable runs, patch panels, racks, and UPS monitoring in a busy industrial environment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with structured cabling, patch panels, and rack systems, plus the ability to document installations clearly and work with IT, facilities, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling including installation, routing, labeling and termination.
• Experience with patch panels, wall jacks, cable testing and physical network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network racks, rack-mounted equipment, cable management and physical infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of network switches and ability to support hardware replacement or remediation.
• Experience monitoring or maintaining UPS / battery backup systems.
• Ability to read floor plans, rack layouts and installation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install physical network drops in office, warehouse, production, and support areas.
• Run cabling through walls, ceilings, overhead spaces per safety practices.
• Terminate lines at wall jacks and patch panels with clean, labeled installations.
• Connect and maintain patch panels and structured cabling components.
• Install and maintain network and server racks; keep racks organized.
• Monitor UPS systems and verify operational status for connected load.
• Troubleshoot physical-layer connectivity issues involving cabling and patches.
• Document cable runs, rack layouts, and changes; coordinate with teams.
