Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Network Infrastructure Technician to install and maintain physical network infrastructure across a large manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes planning and executing cable runs, terminating lines, and managing patch panels and racks in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities include installing and expanding racks, labeling and documenting cabling, and supporting UPS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling, routing, labeling, and termination.
• Familiarity with patch panels, wall jacks, cable testing, and physical infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network racks, rack-mounted equipment, and cable management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install physical network drops throughout office, warehouse, and production areas.
• Run network cabling through walls, ceilings, and overhead spaces per site safety rules.
• Terminate lines at wall jacks and patch panels with clear labeling.
• Connect and maintain patch panels and related cabling components.
• Install, maintain, and expand network/server racks as needed.
• Keep rack environments clean, organized, and well-documented.
• Monitor battery backup / UPS systems for operational status.
• Remediate switch hardware failures and coordinate replacements.
• Assist with light networking tasks for connectivity restoration.
• Install new racks or update existing infrastructure as business needs change.
• Troubleshoot physical-layer connectivity issues and document changes.
