Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks a skilled Millwright to install and align heavy machinery in industrial settings. You will read blueprints, move large equipment with hoists, and assemble components to foundations.

The role involves testing, vibration checks, and possible welding, in a safety‑conscious environment. Applicants should have MIL training or 3+ years in the field, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work with precision tools.

Qualifications

• Completed MIL course or 3 years of field experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine procedures.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, and trucks.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks and precision tools.
• Assemble equipment and bolt to foundations, may weld.
• Install conveyors, shafting, and tram rails.
• Dismantle machines for shipment or demo.
• May inspect, repair, and lubricate equipment.
• Perform precision alignment and vibration checks as needed.
