Job summary

West Fraser in Seaboard, NC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and coordinating with teams to ensure reliable operation of pumps, motors, and conveyors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience installing, trouble shooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions by sight, sound, or actions of machinery and equipment.
• Start, observe, operate, or activate equipment to detect malfunction.
• Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment for preventive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain industrial equipment including conveying systems and machine centers.
• Read drawings and printed instructions.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Maintain safety and comply with training requirements.
• Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
